I admit it, I laughed heartily. This scene represents actually doomsday for the third German Reich and this scene is a climax of absurdity and hopelessness. The words that are spoken are well written in the faces of all of the actors. The subtitles added put the absurdity to extremes, but in essence we cannot deny that we might feel just as angry and shocked when faced with a negative review in the first moment, even though we should be grateful for peer review put aside all its flaws.

Finally one advantage in not speak german...all the humor would be lost if the original sound was understood

To Tartu100 This scene have been "mutilated" numerous times, so nobody is taking it down. The morality of it is quite acceptable to me - if one kills millions of people, he will be driven to insanity and suicide, and people will laugh at his suffering for all eternity.

This is a brilliant satire! I pity people who can't appreciate this form of humor. Fortunately the combination of the First Amendment, backups and PTP file sharing will prevent people like Tartu100 and other would-be Hitlers from banning/burning ideas they don't like. Satire protects us from institutions and individuals who take themselves too seriously - They become a danger to themselves and others.I eagerly look forward to reading your next submission, Tartu100.SincerelyReviewer #3

The original scene from Der Undergang has been mixed with unrelated English subtitles related to the peer reviewing process of a scientific paper. When listening to the German text at the same time, it is more than obvious that this mutilation is not funny at all. It is right out disgusting.I assume that the creators of this BS are my young colleagues. I wonder what kind of morality they have, but on second thought I really do not want to know. Please remove this item. |
