im very surprised that 20% of college students would trade their presidential vote for an ipod touch. i would have guessed anywhere from 90-99% would.

battery cable.. SO if anyone is having this type of problem, just remove all the blue foam/plastic/etc that (i assume) protects the interior from shock, etc... but who cares if it doesnt work at all... this will give the cable slightly more slack and when you close the ipod it wont pull it too tight. I FINALLY figured this out after a few days of serious frustration and even was looking up prices on refurbished ipods. But its working fine now.

I have a 5th gen 30gig video..Just posting this incase anyone has a similar problem... I changed my battery, and when i re-assembled the ipod it wouldnt work.. just the 'very low battery' icon. I found out that it would work fine if the ipod case was still split in 2, but as soon as i put them together..turned off. I found out I had to take out all the blue foam and plastic inside because the new battery was slightly fatter, and when i closed the case it was putting slight stress on the taught
