The romulans rather be for themselves. the ferengie only want the cardies money, but they dont have any. federation just needs to sit back and watch the show. Not many options left for the Cardassians in this game. working facility, re-education center, Obsidian Order sabotage ftw! diplomacy is wasted recourses.

The Cardies remind me of the United Kingdom, Spain and Portugal. They exploited the Indians (UK only) and the native Americans like the Cardies did with the Bajorans.No offense, dear citicens of the UK, Spain and Portugal. I know that you wouldn't do that ever again. Same with the Germans and Austrians. Most of them aren't Nazis anymore. On the contrary, they even send Nazis into prison.

i found building starbases more efficient and assigning a couple of ships to explore or defend said base. heavy use of intel also worked best.

I usually don't go out exploring too far until I have a decent sized fleet, a few colonies, and I've made it to the third or fourth tech level.
