yeah, well ... I didn't follow Star Trek that much, but I think they managed to get away with that by bringing the whole story into an alternate reality (with the time traveling and stuff)I enjoyed the movie ... I think it's awesome

after watching the movie, i cannot believe how they managed to COMPLETLY BUTCHER the official cannon that has stood for over 40 years, only to be undone in 2 short hours.dont get me wrong, it was a great movie, but it sure wasnt star trek.

I'm going to guess Klingon's based on the fact they were mentioned/were in the deleted scenes of this movie but who knows.

If some can answer me this question..... how is it that when the mission starts, everyone is a cadet, yet when they get on the Enterprise, people like McCoy have lieutenant-commander stripes, Sulu has lieutenant stripes, etc.??? We know at the very least that McCoy was a cadet when the Vulcan distress-call mission started, since he was in the same class as Kirk, who was also a cadet.

The last trailer is AWESOME, the music, all scenes...This film made me a Star Trek fan.

I wonder what the plot will be for Star Trek 2012. I say either Klingons, Borg, or Mirror Universe! Seeing the USS Enterprise fighting the ISS Enterprise would be pretty sweet! Or perhaps the Borg from the original Universe and timeline somehow discover a new Universe was created by the Red Matter and they go and try to assimilate everybody there? Anybody else have any ideas?
