Hundreds of underpriviledged girls can now enjoy the freedom to attend school without worrying about the stigma of menstruation, thanks to the launch of re-usable sanitary towel. It is estimated that more than 22% of school age girls miss at least four days of school each month due to menstruation.

What the...??!?? Are you kidding me??! Why didn't P&G and/or J&J just open a Tampax factory in Africa? Seems like it would provide more jobs, and a better product! Holy COW!!! US girls didnt use this type of backwoods hygiene product back in the 60's!!

You have got to be kidding me. Reusable pads?!! would those women talking about them ever use them? God forbid!!! Johnson and Johnson and Proctor and Gamble, Warner Brothers, etc, can provide pads for these women and not even feel the pinch. I'm appalled and insulted by this. If you want to help, please make sense and do what you'd want done to you!

Are they certified by the Kenya bureau of standard?Remember how the small pox virus in the blankets was used in wiping some communities in history. With due respect, i don't welcome this move bearing in mind that its dealing with sehemu nyeti.

Why is our government allowing western companies to come to Kenya and use our girls as guinnea pigs? Get the gals proper sanitary pads, those of international standards. I am sure if our government has any priorities it would be able to make proper sanitary pads available to all gals especially those in school. I hate to this what side effects will there in a few years time as a result of this questionable experiment.
