When I first heard Trisha Yearwood's version vs. LeAnn Rimes' version, I realized the difference was age. To me it was obvious that Trisha Yearwood had lived long enough to feel the words she was singing and LeAnn was just a pup. Trisha was telling a story, LeAnn was singing a song. Perhaps if LeAnn were to sing this song now, with her life experiences behind her, she would compare favorably. But this is a far better version than LeAnn's.

well what can i say but i love both leannes and trisha versions as it highlights two different voices both at different vocal abilities from one very young voice to an older one different vibe from range to age as in interpretation who cares who sang it first i think they both do ti justice
