The actor who plays Garak did a brilliant job, come to think of it, every cardassian had a great actor(Gul Dukat, Enibrain Tain, Garak, etc.).The actor who plays Bashir kind of pales in comparison and looks a bit silly when acting next to Garak who really brings his character to life.Well anyway, Garak rules.

I don't think Julian was trying to kill Garak. Being genetically-enhanced, Julian was able to shoot Garak exactly where he aimed.
