Alimo also played the Romulan Commander Tabok in the episode Neutral Zone. He also played some other obscure alien that I can't remember.

....is that guy Dukat?! I haven't watched much of TNG but that guy sounds a lot like Alaimo/Dukat! :O

BTW someone else was originally cast as Dukat in the DS9 pilot, but after a day's shooting they realized that he was miscast and someone suggested that they call Alaimo, who had played several roles on TNG.

Yes, but it's from the novels. Macet appears in the DS9 relaunch novel "Demons of Air and Darkness", and other characters notice his resemblance to Dukat, which is explained by the two of them being cousins. So that's the in-universe (and non-canon) explanation, but it's not like any of the writers on the show ever had that idea, they actually looked alike in the shows just because Marc Alaimo played Macet on TNG, and later they called him again on DS9 to play Dukat.

@FrakkinToasterLuvva I've read on Memory-Beta that Macet and Dukat are cousins.

Totally immature, but I LOVE it! Macet's delivery makes it even funnier.
