Training or not, it was five Klingons taking him by surprise, and it looked like they had access to some weapons which they could have chosen to use but didn't. Besides, the best move a spy can do is to appear harmless. All in all, he intentionally took the beating.

I agree totally about Jadzia and Kira, but don't you think Garak would have had serious training? Hehe, an naturally he would be more like Dexter, though without the chain saws and stuff. ;-)

@HMDerek4 Both Jadzia and Kira have quite the background in hand to hand combat whereas Garak is a spy as opposed to a warrior. His methods of dealing with people would be more like Dexter?

I suppose Garak would have been able. I agree it was often a bit unbelievable how humans were able to beat Klingon warriors. Of course it could be intelligence over power. I certainly think Jadzia and Kira could be explained that way.

Garak should have been able to beat those klingons. Why? Because Jadzia Dax and Major Kira were able to beat like three klingons each in hand to hand combat (which was really stupid and unrealistic).

i finished reading that book not 20 minutes ago, would yo know where to buy/download the complete ds9 book series? i have 52 books but i think im missing a few and i especially want the book in which rom becomes grand nagus.
