The band dedicated the song to Barbara Lewis, a 19 year-old friend of the band who was killed in 1993 by a drunk driver who was fleeing from the police after a robbery in York, Pennsylvania. Barbara had many of her organs donated including a liver to a 10 month old baby, and the song lyrics reflect how her death enabled others to continue living.

The band dedicated the song to Barbara Lewis, a 19 year-old friend of the band who was killed in 1993 by a drunk driver[2] who was fleeing from the police after a robbery in York, Pennsylvania. Barbara had many of her organs donated including a liver to a 10 month old baby, and the song lyrics reflect how her death enabled others to continue living. After the 1999 Columbine High School massacre, Ed Kowalczyk would frequently dedicate the song to the victims at live shows.

Dunnization (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@MusicJunkiie101 No, I did some searching. This song was later dedicated to Barbera, the song was intended about a woman giving birth in one room of a hospital then death down the hall in another room.

I think DUNNIZATION has the right interpretation of this song

LIFE is unexplainable by a man's(or woman's) opinion. that's why the Word of God is here for us(the sinners). As sinners we're trying to learn what LOVE is all over again. the video was a man's attempt to portray what love is.. it is unexplainable by all of the things that a man has written or understood(this explains the books). But what if there was the Word that God himself spoke? would we listen? i, as a sinner, would hope hope that you would listen to Him. God bless ya'll

for those who may not know it is risky at any age to have a baby learn the facts before you state something so cold |
